March 3, 2012 - Chinatown

Last month, we failed on our challenge of doing one thing off of our "things to do in DC" list.  We decided to check off something simple on Saturday:  going to eat in Chinatown.  If you are planning to visit us (which I hope some of you are!), Chinatown really doesn't need to be on your list.  All it includes is a block or so of H Street.  We did get some tasty Asian food, though.

Our restaurant of choice was Wok and Roll.  We chose it for two reasons.  One, it is a combination Chinese/Japanese restaurant so we were able to get sushi.  Two, my husband is a history nerd and wanted to go to the building because of its historical significance...

The fun parts of Chinatown are seeing the fancy archway...

...and all of the signs written in English and Mandarin.

On our walk back to the car, we saw this cool public library.

We decided to try some impromptu 12-month shots of Jude.

Look at that cheesy grin!

Lesson learned:  DC's Chinatown is not very exciting.
